What is the CAT (Crabbet Alliance of Texas) Breeders Class?

The halter Class at the Yearly Futurity where resulting foals from a Breeders Class donated stallion’s breedings are shown for placing and money earnings.

How does it work?

a)Stallion owners generously donate a breeding (or breedings) by their stallion to the Crabbet Alliance of Texas.

b) Breedings can be purchased by CAT club members for $300.00 each.
$75.00 of this fee goes towards the Club, $100.00 goes into the class for weanlings, $100.00 class goes into the class for yearlings and $25.00 goes to the Stallion Owner Payback Jackpot.

c)Resulting foals are eligible to show in the appropriate Breeders Class as a weanling and a yearling.

d)Stallion owners who’s donated breedings were purchased may also show one foal, sired by the donated stallion, in the appropriate Breeders Class as a weanling and a yearling.

How do I win money and how much will I get?

a)The total amount of money for all donated breedings (minus $100.00 per breeding) is divided per the table above and paid out to the winners.

b)Payout is as follows:

c) $25.00 from each paid breeding goes into the Stallion Owner Payback Jackpot. The Stallion Owner Payback Jackpot goes to the stallion owner whose foal wins each of the Breeders Classes that year.

How does it benefit the stallion owner?

a)It gives nationwide exposure to their stallion through the Crabbet Alliance of Texas Newsletters, the Crabbet Alliance of Texas website and through showing his offspring with a chance to win money back!

b)Stallion owner will receive money back if their stallions foal wins that year’s Breeders Class.

How does it benefit the mare owners?

a)It allows mare owners to purchase breedings to top quality stallions at a fraction of their regular price.

b)It allows mare owners to win money back with the resulting foal.

c)It allows mare owners to create beautiful, classic, athletic foals that are user friendly!
